For her documentary film "Kate – Creating an Icon" Nicola Graef has been honored with the Certificate of Merit within the context of the International Film Festival of Fine Arts in Szolnok (Hungary).

In 2008 Nicola Graef already received the main prize for the documentary film "I. Immendorff", about the German artist Jörg Immendorff, at the Film Festival in Szolnok.
